Our big boy Gino is a staff favourite! This lovable pup has quickly captured the hearts of the staff with his daft ways.

Gino is just a puppy but has already grown very large and will need a handler who is comfortable with large breed dogs. Due to kennel life his manners aren't quite up to scratch but we are working on this daily.

He plays well and listens but can initially get a bit excited upon leaving his kennel and will jump up for slobbery kisses. As much as we love his enthusiasm we are teaching him to keep all four paws on the ground!

Gino walks relatively well for such a young dog. He can pull when excited and makes a beeline for the dog run but will generally keep a loose lead after a few minutes.

His new family will need to be willing to continue his lead training. Fortunately Gino is very food motivated and takes to new commands fairly fast.

Gino is not keen not keen on the car but with some encouragement and having someone sitting next to him it makes him feel better but with further training in the car getting in and out we feel he will adapt quickly to going travelling.

Gino would need a home with plenty of space to accommodate his large size and we feel he would be best suited to an adult-only home.

As a young adolescent Gino has shown destructive behaviour in his previous home.
